is there any issue with skype analyzer ? cannot read the logs since skype version was updated, chatsync directory is full with data but the tool doesnt decoding them

Chatsync is not log history. Log history is stored in .dbb files. Check if you have ones.

Chatsync is just history of synchronization between your computer and Skype server. It can contain part of history, but very limited.

Skype version 4 is now supported.

Hi ... I have upgraded to Syke4. In the main.db there seems to be also the old messaegs from Sykpe3 now?

Anyway ... when running the Belkasoft product, it reads the Skype4 profile and shows the contact names. But no history or text at all displayed at the names! no + sign at all.

When opening the main.db with notebook for example (roughly 1MB big) I can even partly read non crypted text ... but the skype analyzer shows me nothing

This is easy to check yourself using SQLite Database Browser (see Messages table). Alternatively we can do it for you if you can send us you Skype history file.

Good news! We recently supported extraction if information from chatsync files.

This functionality available in our Belkasoft Forensic IM Analyzer product.

Please note, that chatsync is NOT a full history record, so it only contains a parts of conversations and currently it is not possible to see, was a message incoming or outgoing.
